Rearcross U-11's 4 - Kilcommon 4

Rearcross played host to near neighbours Kilcommon in an U11 friendly on Saturday evening. The game which was played on the all weather playing area produced a thoroughly enjoyable affair which did not lack in effort or skill from either side. Rearcross took the advantage mid way through the first half with a fine goal scored by Cathal Dervan. The lead was further extended by a goal from Aaron Lenihan before half time. The second half saw Kilcommon strike back with a goal from Adam Mulcahy and almost immediately the sides were level thanks to a Max Carroll goal for the visitors. Kilcommon were now full of confidence and were rewarded with their third goal of the night through William Egan. Not to be outdone Rearcross replied with a long range effort from Colm Kennedy to level matters once again. A great display from Billy Yeaths in the Kilcommon goals denied Rearcross plenty of goalscoring chances however Tristan Deegan managed to make it 4-3 in the dying minutes of the game. With less than a minute to go in the game the visitors launched one last attack and it was Ronan Carr who found the net leaving the game all square at the final whistle.
